I picked up my first ever DJ36 during a very devastating breakup. I have already decided I was going to buy a Rolex but was feeling very indecisive. But when I found out something upsetting about my ex, I decided it was time to pull the trigger at my local AD. I don’t regret it, but I wish I did more research and took my time.
My only Rolex regret is that I didn't give myself permission to buy a Hulk when you could walk in and haggle. I didn't think I was worth a watch of that value. I got one before the market went totally bonkers but I still missed the MSRP boat.
As for not enjoying the silver dial, I personally often experience some buyers remorse/regret after a big purchase. I choose in that moment not to second guess myself and to remind myself of the reasons why I chose it.
